Can we be united as people? -OAR

The purpose of this blog:
-update family and friends of my shenanigans in Europe

Europe:
-spent 3 months in Prague, Czech Republic doing my student teaching.
-will return August 12th for a REAL teaching job at the same school I was at before.
-plan on stumbling around as much as I can
-my past trips include- Italy, Ireland, Paris, and England.
-future trips- give me ideas and suggestions
-will live again with Lindsey from Minnesota in an apt with our own bedrooms!

Post Europe:
-Saving the world
-Grad School

Leave with a lyric that describes sometimes how I feel when I'm wandering the cobblestone streets.

How does it feel
To be without a home
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?

Rachel, you rolling stone, you. Off on another adventure. Good for you - see as much of the world while you can, keep an open mind, and take in the people and the local cultures. I have a bias, of course, but I think living overseas is a great thing to do. Just finding out that people are really the same all over, well, that's worth at least the price of the airline ticket ;-) Enjoy your year, and I'll be tuned to your blog to see what new adventures you're up to!

Go Rachel! I hope you get to know more locals this time around... break through that Czech reserve... will you be home for Christmas? I would love to visit, just don't know about the dough! Might be back in the Middle East this fall. I'll be in Ohio next week, let's get together.
Send us an email once in awhile too... sometimes I need a reminder to visit blogs and websites...

Dear Big Sis,
I think your quote for next time should be "She grew up in an Indiana town had a good lookin' mother never was around but she grew up tall and she grew up right with them indiana boys on them indiana nights". i must say that your excapades are quite exciting to read about and (being a zanesvillian)i can only dream of ever escaping from here. thanks for living my dream.
