The Tram incident

Ok, its not so much an incident but you wish you could have been there to witness this let down.

I went to my friends play Sunday night. It was acutally 3 plays that were wrote by people here in Prague, directed and acted by locals. My friend Logan's play was by far the best and most entertaining. Afterwards, I went out with my friend Logan and all his fellow actors and actresses. It was a good time and before I realized it, it was getting late and I was tired.

I left the underground pub and walked into the night. If you can imagine this, I was walking parellel to a street which the trams run on but theres a park inbetween. I spotted the tram I wanted at the stop. My mission was to make it to the next stop to make the tram because it was so late that the next one wouldn't come for 30 mins.

I take off in a dead sprint. As I start sprinting I realize how far away I actually am to the next tram stop... I'm about 4 blocks to the corner then when I round the corner I'm another 2 blocks uphill to the tram stop...

This doesn't faze me for the moment. I keep on trucking glancing over at the tram and it's progress.

Towards the end of the block, I am dying. In my head, I say screw it, I'm going to miss it. I'll just wait for another.

Luck is on my side again. The tram gets stopped at a red light. I start sprinting again. I'm round the corner and about 1 block away. The tram pulls up to the stop and people start to get off. I am about 2 feet away with my arms waving when the tram driver closes the door and takes off. Bastard.

It was pathetic. In the end, I sprinted for blocks, sweated, and still missed the tram race. Defeated, I hung my head low and waited for the next tram.
