Election day

Wednesday after the election was a great day for the most part. Some students passed me in the hallways and were so excited about Obama's win. As was I. Some students chanted "yes we can" etc. It was great.

However, the students and hopefully our country knows that Obama will do his best to change but the hole he has put himself in is very deep. Any change that occurs will be great. Perhaps the workers at the FORD plant in Detroit will get to go back to work or get some insurance benfits.

America has come a long way in the past 200+ years. A man that could have been a slave less than 150 years ago is now the leader of the most powerful country in the world. Yes, we are the most powerful country in the world but we are not the only country in the world. We must always remember that.

My friend from HS that has moved to London is coming over Thanksgiving weekend. Super excited about that. Lindsey has had a friend randomly book a plane ticket to come visit that week as well. Exciting stuff. We have a bank holiday coming up. Which is a 3 day weekend. I think the game plan is to just hop on a train and end up in some random town in Germany for a day or so. Who knows what will happen. This weekend is going to be relaxing hopefully. It was a long week at school.

Czech tv is terrible. Treasure your English channels.
